Welcome to Cotton End Lower School's website!

Find out what we have been up to in PE!

This half term, Cotton End Lower School have been exceptionally busy within PE! As well as participating in our weekly Premier Sport PE lessons and football club, we have been learning lots with our class teachers.

Robins have been learning about spatial awareness and moving in different ways, whereas Swallows have been learning a French dance with Mrs Gormley. Swifts have also been busy and have been carefully taking part in exciting gymnastics lessons - also with Mrs Gormley!

On Thursday 15th October, we were very lucky to have a visit from a real life football coach! Chris works for the MK Dons football team and he spoke to the school about having fun when playing sport as well as learning some valuable skills. After our assembly, Swallows and some of Swifts were very lucky as they had a coaching session with Chris! The children had a fantastic time and were talking about their developed football skills for the rest of the day. Click here to see some photos from the coaching session.

On Friday 16th October, Swfits took part in the first Bedford and Kempston School Sports Partnership event of the new academic year. Nine beautifully behaved children went to the Bedford International Atheltic Stadium where they took part in lots of Multisports activities, including tag rugby, tri-golf and dodgeball. Mrs Gormley and Mrs Cox were delighted with the way Swifts behaved and co-operated with one another so big thumbs up to you all!

A very busy first half term! Swallows are off to Abbey Middle School on Friday 23rd October to take part in some orienteering activities so we look forward to hearing all about that next week.
